Government updates the procedure for conducting electronic auctions under bilateral contracts

The Government systematically promotes the development of distributed generation to implement the Sustainability Plans. The procedure for conducting electronic auctions for the sale of electricity under bilateral contracts has been updated in line with the revised legislation on the electricity market. In particular, the scope of participants and the conditions for participation in such auctions have been clarified. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

Electricity producers at distributed generation facilities may voluntarily sell electricity under bilateral contracts through electronic auctions. 

“In this way, we are increasing transparency and competition in the electricity sales market and supporting the development of decentralised generation. In the face of constant russian attacks on the energy sector, we must ensure the stable operation of critical infrastructure,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
