The Cabinet of Ministers has approved an update to the Ukraine Plan under the Ukraine Facility programme, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

“We are aligning the Plan with Ukraine’s EU accession process and creating the conditions to secure an additional EUR 8.35 billion in support under the Ukraine Support Loan. The Government has approved amendments developed jointly with the European Commission, central executive authorities and Members of Parliament,” the Prime Minister said.

The update revises 35 steps of the Plan and introduces 26 new ones. Key areas include the rule of law, energy, corporate governance and other priority sectors.

The new and updated indicators have been aligned with Ukraine’s European integration commitments, the benchmarks of the EU accession negotiations, and the process of adapting Ukrainian legislation to EU law.

“Implementation of the updated Ukraine Plan will help attract financial support for macroeconomic stability and the country’s recovery,” Yulia Svyrydenko noted.
