Government expects to attract around UAH 10 billion in revenue from private investors through large-scale privatisation and UAH 3 billion through small-scale privatisation: Yulia Svyrydenko.
This year, the Government expects to attract approximately UAH 10 billion from private investors via large-scale privatisation and UAH 3 billion from small-scale privatisation. This ambitious goal in wartime conditions was discussed and agreed upon at a meeting with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine and the State Property Fund. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
“The meeting was held at Ocean Plaza. This is an asset that belonged to a russian oligarch and has been transferred to state ownership in accordance with the Law ‘On Sanctions’. The state is now preparing it for sale to a new owner. We plan to put it up for open auction in the third quarter of this year, with an estimated market value of around USD 100 million,” Yulia Svyrydenko said.
At the same time, the Government is not halting small-scale privatisation. This is an ongoing process that is already delivering results and generating steady revenue for the budget. Since the beginning of the year, more than UAH 1 billion has already been received, meeting a significant part of the annual plan. We continue to sell prepared assets.
“It is important that the funds from these sales, including sanctioned assets, are directed to the Recovery Fund. This is a resource for the country’s reconstruction and for supporting people who have suffered because of the war,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
