Canada has contributed an additional EUR 12.4 million to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

The Government of Canada has provided EUR 12.4 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to over EUR 57 million. The funds are already being directed toward the immediate needs of energy companies and measures to repair and restore energy infrastructure across the country in preparation for the upcoming fall and winter season.

“I am grateful to Canada for its consistent support of Ukraine. This assistance is critical to ensuring the resilience of our power grid amid russia’s ongoing attacks and to strengthening the country’s energy security ahead of the heating season. I am grateful to the Energy Community Secretariat for effectively coordinating the Fund’s work and personally to Artur Lorkowski for his leadership and fruitful cooperation,” emphasized First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.

As a reminder, since 2022, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has been collaborating with international partners to respond promptly to the consequences of attacks on the energy system and to ensure its rapid restoration and strengthening. Approximately 30% of the Fund’s total contributions—EUR 663 million—have been provided by partners since November 2025, demonstrating unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and confidence in the Fund as a transparent and effective aid instrument.

Currently, equipment worth approximately EUR 260 million is en route to Ukraine and is expected to arrive before temperatures drop.
