The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision to expand the possibilities of a special account at the National Bank of Ukraine for donations within the framework of the United24 recovery fund initiative, opened by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
From now on, one can transfer funds for the reconstruction of not only sports, but also youth infrastructure, which was damaged by enemy missiles.
In particular, the collected funds will be directed to the restoration of youth centers: current and capital repairs of buildings, reconstruction, technical support, purchase of equipment and inventory.
As a result of the military aggression of the russian federation, 35 objects of youth infrastructure have already been completely or partially destroyed, the amount of damage is about UAH 100 million. Another 60 youth facilities are located in the temporarily occupied territories, so the Ministry of Youth and Sports currently has no information about their state.
It’s worth mentioning that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy founded the UNITED24 fundraising platform to increase charitable donations to support Ukraine in the world, in particular by joining the efforts of international partners, donors and benefactors. The platform works in three directions: defense and demining, medical aid, rebuild Ukraine.
