On June 18, 2018, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine hosted an enlarged meeting with the participation of Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, auditors of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), leadership of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, the Maritime Administration, the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety, representatives of ministries and state authorities and port chiefs. During the meeting, the results of the IMO audit, which was held in Ukraine from 11- 18 June 2018, were presented.
The purpose of the audit is to verify Ukraine’s compliance with the obligations in the field of safety of navigation as a port state, a flag state and a coastal state.
The IMO auditors welcomed Ukraine on successful audit and expressed gratitude to the experts of the Ministry of Infrastructure for coordinated team work.
