The parties considered the prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary in the field of energy efficiency and green energy.
As is known Hungary aims to achieve 20% “clean” energy by 2030 and actively works on decarbonization.
“These issues are also a priority for Ukraine. Therefore, we have plenty of opportunities to exchange experience in the legislative field and to work out the investment attractiveness of green projects in both countries”, the Head of Ukrainian Agency said.
According to Zoltán Horváth, Hungarian business is already considering partnerships with Ukrainian developers. The opening of a representative office of the Hungarian company East West Mentor in Ukraine was a step towards the establishment of bilateral business relations.
In general, cooperation between the two countries can be mutually beneficial, in particular, in the following areas:
- implementation of joint renewable energy projects;
- stimulation of industrial enterprises to energy efficiency;
- involvement of ESCO-investment in insulation of budgetary institutions.
