The working visit of a delegation headed by acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets to Germany has begun.
On October 14, the first working meeting was held at the level of Deputy Ministers and Heads of Departments in the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia with the participation of the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.
The issues of restructuring of coal mines, development of green energy and innovations were discussed.
It is important for Ukraine to discuss during the visit the issues of coal industry reform, the transformation of coal regions and to get acquainted with the best experience of Germany in reforming the coal industry and transformation of regions in the process of the closure of mines.
In the coming days, the delegation will continue talks on "coal" issues and prospects for the hydrogen economy.
It’s worth noting that in August this year in Berlin, the acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine together with the Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier signed a Joint Statement on the launch of the energy partnership between Ukraine and Germany.
