August 22, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision on establishment of  a Joint Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Ukraine and Qatar.

The relevant agreement  was reached following the negotiations between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The negotiations took place in the framework of the official visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Qatar, on March 20.

The joint commission will be an effective mechanism for coordinating the actions of both parties in the context of development and deepening of interaction in the trade and economic spheres, as well as monitoring the practical implementation of the relevant agreements.
