Ukraine will deepen cooperation with Germany in the field of decarbonization

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for European Integration Yaroslav Demchenkov met with the representative of the Mr. Jürgen Keinhorst - Director, Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety of Germany.

The parties discussed the continuation of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the framework of the Ukrainian-German energy partnership.

During the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to further deepen partnership, in particular in the field of energy decarbonization and the implementation of the Low Carbon Ukraine project.

"It is important for the Ministry of Energy to accelerate the energy transition and to achieve success in decarbonization of energy within 10-15 years. We have already started projects that will help reduce carbon emissions, and we appreciate the support of the German government in implementing such projects and look forward to effective cooperation," said Yaroslav Demchenkov.
