The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between SE NPC Ukrenergo and RTE France on the development of energy networks is a key event for the Ukrainian energy market. This will allow for the implementation of innovative solutions that can bring the Ukrainian power industry to a qualitatively new level of development. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister/Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko on the results of the VII meeting of the Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
"Last year, Ukraine embarked on a clear course towards integrating the Ukrainian energy system into the European one. And cooperation with the RTE operator is a big step on this path. The Memorandum signed today will allow the implementation of completely innovative projects not only for Ukraine but also for the whole of Europe", emphasized Hennadii Zubko.
According to the official, during the meeting, the parties also agreed to introduce the best IT-technologies in the field of electric power industry. "Another joint project is the introduction of high voltage direct circuit maintenance technologies avoiding power outage. RTE is one of the world-renowned holders of this technology, and companies plan to use the experience of France in Ukraine", Hennadii Zubko emphasized.
The Vice Prime Minister also commended the previously signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the French company Alstom and PJSC Ukrainian Railways on the commencement of joint large-scale industrial projects in the railway sector, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency of Motor Roads of Ukraine and Bouygues Travaux Publics company.
