  • Ukraine is committed to improving Ukrainian-Hungarian relations

    On December 6, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó on the sidelines of 25th OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan (Italy).

    Minister Pavlo Klimkin briefed his Hungarian counterpart on the act of  Russian aggression against Ukraine in the KerchStrait and called on Budapest to engage in the international community's efforts to curb the Russian aggressor.

    The Ministers agreed to boost interregional cooperation and to accelerate the implementation of joint border infrastructure projects, in particular, those that were discussed at the level of Deputy Foreign  Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary Vasyl Bodnar and Levente Magyar on November 26, 2018.

    During the meeting the sides discussed the issue of regulating Hungarian assistance to the development of Zakarpattya region.

    The Hungarian side was also informed about the measures taken by the Ukrainian side regarding the implementation of the Law On Education.
