  • Prime Minister: Ukraine will achieve energy independence

    The Government's strategy for achieving energy independence by increasing its own production and rational consumption of available resources is viable and Ukraine will be  energy independent. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

    "We are enough energy independent with a view to the reserves of the state. We are a gas country in Europe. Our strategy aimed to increase our own production and satisfy our needs is the right one. We are simultaneously reduce the energy intensity of the economy and use the resources rationally", Volodymyr Groysman said.

    He stressed that the Energy Efficiency Fund, which is a powerful for increasing the efficiency of consumption of resources, will begin its work in Ukraine next year  At the same time, Ukraine stands for efficient use of the possibilities of gas transportation infrastructure, which is a reliable and stable strorage of fuel."We are sufficiently stable in terms of power generation. We develop atomic, hydroelectric power, alternative sources. Our task is to be energy independent. This is our goal, and it will be reached", the Prime Minister underscored.
