Ukrainian farmers have sown 96% of projected winter crop area

Ukrainian farmers have already sown more than 6 million hectares of winter crops. In particular, almost 5 million hectares (96%) of winter grains and more than 1.08 million hectares of winter rape have been sown.
In particular:
- winter wheat – 4.4 million hectares (97%);
- winter barley – 577,800 hectares (90%);
- winter rye – 68,100 hectares (97%);
- winter rape – 1.08 million hectares (96%).
Among the leaders in terms of winter grain sowing are farmers in Odesa region – 710,000 hectares, Dnipropetrovsk region – 528,000 hectares, and Mykolaiv region – 503,100 hectares.
Farmers in 14 regions have completed sowing of winter crops. Agricultural producers in 12 regions have finished sowing winter rape.
