Ukraine has sent another batch of humanitarian aid – 3,850 tonnes of flour – as part of the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy “Grain from Ukraine”. This was announced by Vitalii Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
“Ukraine continues to support the Syrian people. Another batch of humanitarian aid has arrived in Syria. Together with the UN World Food Programme, the flour will be distributed to local bakeries. In total, the Ukrainian flour will be enough to feed almost 60,000 people for six months,” said Vitalii Koval.
The Minister reminded that Ukraine had previously delivered 500 tonnes of wheat flour to 33,250 families. “At the same time, I personally visited Syria and talked to the Agriculture Minister about their further needs. We are continuing to work,” Vitalii Koval added.
