  • Ukraine and Poland sign Memorandum of Cooperation in the Energy Sector

    In the framework of the Ukrainian-Polish governmental consultations, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk met with Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland Paulina Hennig-Kloska and Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure Maciej Bando in Warsaw.

    The parties discussed joint steps to respond to the destruction of energy infrastructure as a result of russian shelling and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the countries in the energy sector.

    "The document envisages the development of joint programmes and projects of common interest aimed at restoring the energy infrastructure damaged by the war, and steps to integrate energy markets more fully. We thank Poland for its willingness to create conditions that will facilitate the participation of Polish companies in the restoration of Ukraine's energy sector," said Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk.

    The Memorandum, in particular, provides for joint work in the development of climate-neutral technologies, the development of distributed generation, and the transportation of natural gas and oil products.

    Particular attention was paid to the issue of energy security through market integration and the development of climate-neutral generation, the development of projects of common interest and the strengthening of interstate cooperation.
