General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed an Agreement on Cooperation in Combating Crime and Terrorism and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Interior of the UAE on mutual recognition and exchange of national certificates.

Arsen Avakov stressed that after signing the Memorandum, drivers can use the license they have received in their native country.

"From now on, tourists will be able to rent a car using their driver’s license, and residents and people working in the UAE will be able to exchange their licenses to local ones for free and without exams," said Arsen Avakov.

It should be noted that earlier an agreement on mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses was signed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the governments of Italy, Turkey and Spain. Similar negotiations are underway with France and the United Kingdom, and it is planned to further expand this legal framework to relations with other countries.
