Ukraine and Germany deepen economic cooperation in energy, transport and infrastructure

Following Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz's visit, Ukraine is continuing its dialogue with German partners on expanding economic cooperation, increasing trade and developing mutually beneficial joint projects in energy and transport infrastructure. This was reported by Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi.

"I spoke with German Ambassador to Ukraine Boris Ruge about deliveries of equipment to restore and modernize our energy sector, and about our work together to enhance Europe's energy security," the Head of Government said.

Particular emphasis was placed on long-term partnership in railways and infrastructure.

The meeting also touched on international financial support for Ukraine. The Government is working with Parliament to pass, next week, the laws needed to secure international financial assistance.

Sergii Koretskyi thanked the German side for the invitation to the German-Ukrainian Economic Forum, which will take place in Berlin on November 20.

"We look forward to new agreements between Ukrainian and German companies," the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted.
