Ukraine and IMF reach staff-level agreement on EFF programme review
Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund have reached a staff-level agreement on the review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced.
“This agreement is expected to be approved by the IMF Executive Board in the coming weeks. It paves the way for Ukraine to receive the next programme tranche worth USD 690 million,” the Prime Minister said.
Yulia Svyrydenko noted that all quantitative performance criteria and indicative targets as of the end of March had been met. An updated timetable for the implementation of previously agreed reforms has also been approved.
Measures under the programme are helping to maintain the resilience of Ukraine’s financial system despite the ongoing war.
The total financing available under the programme amounts to USD 8.1 billion, of which USD 1.5 billion has already been disbursed to Ukraine’s State Budget.
