Ukraine and Canada: new steps in countering disinformation and supporting cultural heritage


Mykola Tochytskyi, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, met with Isabelle Mondou, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage of Canada, to discuss important issues of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the fight against disinformation, in particular, countering the spread of russian propaganda through the film industry.

The participants also stressed the importance of strategic communications to counter russian information attacks and to promote an objective picture of Ukraine's history and culture in the world.

A separate topic was the completion of the construction project of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide in Kyiv, as an important step in preserving the historical memory of one of the most tragic pages in Ukraine's history.

This meeting demonstrates the strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and Canada in the field of culture and strategic communications, contributing to the further enhancement of cultural and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
