During a working visit to Africa, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyy met with Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Ghana Frederick Obeng Adom.
Among the issues under discussion were the increase of trade relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Ghana in the context of agriculture, as well as the implementation of joint logistics projects.
Mykola Solskyy noted that cooperation between a number of companies of Ukraine and Ghana had already been established. However, there is an opportunity to improve the level of trade relations between the countries. To do this, it is necessary to increase logistics capabilities and it is important to do it promptly and smoothly.
According to him, the construction of the grain hub will give Ukrainian farmers and traders confidence in the possibility of supply, and Ghanaian consumers will have high-quality wheat. It will also allow to normalize prices in the future.
The Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Ghana emphasized that they were open to cooperation with Ukraine and saw no obstacles to increase joint trade relations. Frederick Obeng Adom stressed that Ukraine and Ghana need to collaborate.
Also on this day, the Minister of Agrarian Policy met with business representatives of the Republic of Ghana to consider the possibilities of cooperation, as well as to develop an action plan for the implementation of joint projects.
