Ukraine and Denmark enhance cooperation in the field of energy recovery and modernization

Deputy Energy Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlichenko and Oleksandr Viazovchenko discussed with Deputy Director General of the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) Iben Møller Søndergård the current situation in the Ukrainian energy sector in the face of continued attacks by russia, as well as key areas of support from Danish partners.

Oleksandr Pavlichenko thanked Denmark for its significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine's energy resilience, in particular, for financial assistance through the Energy Support Fund for Ukraine and humanitarian supplies of critical equipment.

"We appreciate our cooperation with Denmark, which is a reliable partner of Ukraine even in the most challenging times. Today, it is crucial for us not only to quickly restore the damaged infrastructure, but also to build a new one that is more secure, sustainable and energy efficient," the Deputy Minister emphasized.

The parties have identified areas for further strengthening cooperation in the spheres of renewable energy, energy efficiency, technological exchange and joint work to enhance the security of critical infrastructure.

The Danish side reaffirmed its intention to continue cooperation with Ukraine under the new strategic civilian support program for 2025-2028, in particular in the restoration and modernization of the energy sector.
