Ukraine and Denmark are strengthening cooperation in air defence and the development of the defence industry. This was discussed during a conversation between Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov and Minister of Defence of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen.

The Ukrainian side thanked Denmark for its consistent support and high-quality cooperation in the defence sector.

Special mention was made of the effectiveness of the Danish model of support for the defence industry. In 2025, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine attracted more than USD 2 billion for Ukrainian production through the Danish model.

Mykhailo Fedorov noted that thanks to Denmark’s efforts, F-16 fighter jets are already defending Ukrainian skies. The heads of the defence ministries discussed prospects for supplying armaments for these aircraft to Ukraine and further developing support for the jets.

A separate focus of the talks was cooperation with defence companies. Denmark plans to create an ecosystem of defence companies on its own territory, while Ukraine is ready to share its technological experience.

Mykhailo Fedorov also proposed considering Denmark’s participation in a number of priority projects, in particular basic support for Ukrainian brigades with drones and the transformation of the military training system.
