Ukraine receives 40 generators from the Philippines to ensure backup power supply for socially important facilities

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine’s emergency energy assistance hub has received 40 portable Daiden generators, each with a capacity of 6 kW, donated to Ukraine by the Philippine company Highball Traders Inc.

The equipment will be used to provide backup power to socially important facilities and support Ukrainian communities affected by russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

The humanitarian initiative was launched following a meeting between Ambassador of Ukraine to the Philippines Yuliia Fediv and Senator Erwin Tulfo in February 2026. The assistance was delivered to Ukraine with the support of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM). The generators were transported from the Philippines to the Port of Gdańsk and subsequently delivered to Ukraine with the support of Poland’s Government Agency for Strategic Reserves (RARS) under the rescEU donation scheme.

The donated generators will strengthen communities’ preparedness for potential disruptions to electricity supply and help ensure the continuity of essential services.
