Ukraine has received 12 transformers purchased with funding from the Ukraine Energy Support Fund established under the Energy Community Secretariat.
The necessary equipment worth over UAH 2 million has already been delivered to an electricity distribution system operator in one of the regions bordering russia. The donor for the purchase was the Danish Energy Agency.
In total, 41 companies have been selected for the purchase of equipment, fuel and services with funds from the Energy Support Fund (the list will be extended as the Fund receives further contributions). These are companies engaged in generation, transmission, distribution of electricity, storage, distribution and transportation of natural gas, as well as in the mining industry.
“We are grateful to all donors to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, whose inputs are helping us to restore and strengthen Ukraine’s energy system. This is a contribution not only to Ukraine’s energy security, but also to the security of the entire European continent,” said Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
In total, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has already received more than EUR 154 million from 12 counties, organisations and companies. Active fundraising for the Fund continues.
