As of today, April 22, the only e-ticket of municipal transport processing - SmartTicketCity - started operating in the city of Mariupol. As a result, city residents will be able to conveniently pay for travel in all modes of transport in the near future.
The digital initiative started with the opening of the 16-A bus route. This system will be tested over the next 2 weeks, and then gradually scaled up to the whole of Mariupol.
"Thanks to a single transport processing in the near future, our cities will be able to fully implement important digital solutions in transport and move to the use of a single SmartTicket e-ticket for all modes of transport, which we are now actively implementing in the Ministry of Infrastructure. I am glad that Mariupol was one of the first to start this process, took the initiative and showed other cities by its example how it should be. And I invite all city heads to join this initiative," said Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii during the presentation of the service.
According to him, the introduction of a single e-ticket of municipal transport processing will allow cities to form a single approach to cashless travel in public transport, to simplify the purchase of a trip online, covering not only residents but also city guests. At the same time, one can pay for travel by any contactless means of payment of any bank in Ukraine and around the world.
