Within the framework of the Ukrainian Forum on Natural Gas Exploration and Production, which is taking place in London (Great Britain), the head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine (State Geonadra) Oleh Kyryliuk presented 7 oil and gas sites to the international mining companies.
"Today, the State Geonadra announces the second round of electronic oil and gas auctions, lots can be purchased through the ProZorro system. Those are 7 sites that are located in five areas. Territory with deposits is more than 2,000 square km, and projected mineral resources make up over 2 billion cubic meters of gas. The initial price of 7 special permits is almost USD 2 million", said Oleh Kyryliuk.
State Geonadra announces data about the following lots:
Dobrenska, North-Yefremivska - Kharkiv region,
Kabodnianska - Ivano-Frankivsk region,
Drohobych - Lviv region,
Kalyuzhna-1 - Sumy region,
Opolonivska -1 and Opolonivska-2 - Chernihiv region.
Also, Oleh Kyryliuk added that in general, in 2019, the State Geonadra plans to put off 30 oil and gas sites with an initial price of lots USD 50 million and projected resources of 130 billion cubic meters of gas and an area of 5,000 square km.
Due to the Government's decision on December 6, the first electronic oil and gas auctions were launched in Ukraine, in which 10 subsoil plots with a resource base of hydrocarbons of 90 billion cubic meters were put off. It is worth noting that in the fall of 2018 it was agreed at the legislative level that from January 1, 2019, in Ukraine all subsoil areas will be provided exclusively on a competitive basis through the system of open e-commerce "Prozoro.Sales".
There were present at the event Ukrainian and international mining companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil, INA, Arawak, Erenco, MOL, Sand Hill, Trident Acquisitions, as well as service companies Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Viking International and SOCAR AQS.
