The fourth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Commission on economic, technical and trade cooperation was held in Kuwait City

On November 8, the fourth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Commission on economic, technical and trade cooperation under the chairmanship of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko and Minister of Commerce and Industry of the State of Kuwait  Khaled Nasser Abdullah Al-Roudan was held in Kuwait City.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues pertaining to cooperation between Ukraine and Kuwait in the agricultural sector, energy and industry, culture and art, tourism, education and health, information sphere, etc.

"The meeting of our Commission has become a logical continuation of the agreements reached by the Presidents of both countries within the framework of the official visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to the State of Kuwait in March of this year and will be a good opportunity for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries," the Vice Minister Pavlo Rozenko stressed after the meeting.

According to him, there was a constructive exchange of views on the further development of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti cooperation,  prospects for cooperation and plans for work for the future, implementation of which will ensure the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and will promote the transition of interstate relations to a qualitatively new level.

The Ukrainian side proposed to consider the possibility of including state TV channels (in particular, the UA / TV channel) in the list of adapted channels that will broadcast on the territory of the State of Kuwait. And also to consider separately the possibility of including the UA / TV channel in the hotel networks of the State of Kuwait.

"We also identified new perspectives and projects based on the strategic interests of both countries. I hope that the agreements reached during our meeting will contribute to the further growth of bilateral trade, the revitalization of business activity, the intensification of export activity and the attraction of Kuwaiti investments in the Ukrainian economy, "the Vice Prime Minister emphasized.

On the outcomes of the meeting the parties inked the Protocol of the fourth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Commission on economic, technical and trade cooperation., the Agreement on Cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the State of Kuwait in the field of culture and art and the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Kuwait on cooperation in the field of tourism.
