A “Made in Ukraine” regional office has been opened in Kropyvnytskyi to support micro and small businesses in the region. The office was opened with the participation of Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Tetiana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Yuliia Zhovtiak, Director of the State Employment Centre.
At this office, entrepreneurs can get information, advice and assistance in paperwork, writing business plans, applying for grants and other programmes to support small and micro businesses.
“We continue to open ‘Made in Ukraine’ offices for small and micro businesses in different regions of Ukraine. In your region, we plan to open three of them – on the basis of the Kropyvnytskyi branch of the regional employment centre, as well as in Oleksandriia and Novoukrainka. There, businesses can get advice on everything from how to apply for grants or write a business plan to how to label their products,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to her, this year the Government is implementing a number of programmes to support business, including the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9% programme, grants for processing with the possibility of receiving up to UAH 8 million for the development of production, and the eOselia mortgage programme. In addition, the Government has launched a programme to develop the infrastructure of industrial parks, a programme to support projects with large investments, and others.
“This year, we have budgeted over UAH 45 billion for business support programmes. This is a record amount in recent years. For Kirovohrad region, UAH 850 million has been allocated for this year. Our goal, both at the regional and national level, is to change the structure of the economy and increase the share of processing, as there are no examples of successful raw material states in the world,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The office also offers advice on programmes directly supported by the Employment Service: Vlasna Sprava grants, grants for veterans and their spouses, compensation for the arrangement of workplaces for people with disabilities, compensation for the employment of internally displaced persons, vouchers for employee training, training and retraining programmes at vocational education centres, qualified assistance with recruitment and training, and others.
According to Yuliia Zhovtiak, Director of the State Employment Centre, entrepreneurs in Kirovohrad region have already received UAH 67 million in microgrants to start or develop businesses, and another UAH 12 million in grants have been awarded to combatants or their spouses. In addition, the regional employment service has already issued more than 350 vouchers for training in 2024, and about 700 unemployed people have received vocational training.
