On November 27, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting held a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the implementation of the Action Plan on the implementation of the Concept for improving public awareness on Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

The meeting was chaired by First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Bohdan Chervak and attended by representatives of central executive authorities and the public.

The participants heard information on the implementation by the executive authorities of the Action Plan on the implementation of the Concept for Improving Public Awareness on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic Integration for 2018. This work involves all central government authorities and regional and Kyiv city state administrations. Among the most engaged in the process of informing are the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, and the Ministry of Information Policy. Owing to their efforts among the Ukrainian society, including through the media and web-portals of the authorities, the information is disseminated on measures in the sector of Euro-Atlantic integration. In particular, the expansion of NATO-Ukraine cooperation, the reform of domestic security structures, modernization of Ukrainian military education, support for Ukraine by the Alliance, history, current activities and main principles of the functioning of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Members of the interagency working group also heard reports from the representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the fulfilled work.

Moreover, the participants of the meeting were presented the methodology for determining the index of monitoring the acquisition of NATO membership. The presentation was delivered by Oleksii Kokoshynsky, vice president of the public association the ACU.
