Ukraine received more than UAH 34 million worth of medical humanitarian aid in June

In June, Ukraine received additional deliveries of medical humanitarian aid worth more than UAH 34.2 million. The assistance was provided by partners from Norway, Germany, Poland, France, Finland, Hungary, and the United States.

The aid is intended to support Ukraine’s healthcare system and provide medical facilities with essential resources, including medicines, diagnostic materials, medical supplies, and equipment.

In particular, Ukraine received medicines for patient care. Donors included the German Medical Aid Organisation action medeor, which supplied medicines for the treatment of infectious diseases; the Polish pharmaceutical company POLPHARMA S.A., which provided pain relief and anti-inflammatory medicines; and the Ukrainian company SM-FARM LLC, which donated medicines for emergency and inpatient care.

Partners also supplied medical devices and diagnostic materials. RestoringVision donated 300,000 pairs of prescription glasses, while the NGO Public Health Mission provided testing kits and control materials for the early detection of HIV.

Part of the assistance was provided by partner governments. Norway donated medicines for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic complications, while Finland supplied medical equipment for healthcare facilities.

Ukraine also received a Type B emergency ambulance, designed for patient transport, the provision of basic medical care, and patient monitoring. The vehicle was purchased by Toulouse University Hospital (CHU de Toulouse) with financial support from the Occitanie Regional Council and delivered with the assistance of Expertise France, the French agency for international technical cooperation.

In addition, Ukraine received a shipment of Betadine, an antiseptic used to treat skin and wounds. The donation was provided by the Hungarian pharmaceutical company Egis through the Ukrainian-Estonian company Optima-Pharm LTD, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary.

Ukraine expressed its sincere gratitude to the governments of partner countries, international and charitable organisations, pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions, and all partners that continue to support Ukraine’s healthcare system and help ensure patients receive the medical care they need.
