The Government is continuing its preferential financing programmes for the purchase and installation of energy equipment. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on 24 January.
According to the Head of Government, in the second half of last year, Ukrainian banks started financing relevant projects to strengthen energy independence in the amount of UAH 10.5 billion, and more than 5,000 loans were issued to individuals.
The Prime Minister also noted that a 0% interest rate loan programme for the installation of solar panels was available for private households.
“Condominiums can take advantage of the GreenDIM programme and receive UAH 2 million for solar stations and UAH 2 million for heat pumps. We have already received almost 150 applications and urge condominiums to make more active use of this programme to increase their energy sustainability,” the Head of Government stressed.
Denys Shmyhal also mentioned that the Government was developing programmes to support Ukrainian producers and domestic industry.
In particular, soft loans are available for small and medium-sized businesses under the 5-7-9 programme and the Decarbonisation Fund programme. In addition, under the Made in Ukraine policy, 15% compensation is available for machinery or equipment purchased from a Ukrainian manufacturer.
“This list has recently been expanded three times. Now it includes almost 450 products from 19 manufacturers,” the Prime Minister said.
Also, according to Denys Shmyhal, tariffs for heat and electricity for this heating season remain unchanged.
“The 2025 budget allocates UAH 42.3 billion for the programme of subsidies and benefits, which will provide support to all Ukrainians who need it,” the Head of Government said, stressing the importance of rational electricity consumption.
