In 2024, Ukraine reached the pre-war exports level of USD 24.5 billion, which accounted for 59% of total exports. This is the second historical record (in 2021, the corresponding amount was USD 27.7 billion). In total, Ukraine exported 78.3 million tonnes of agricultural products last year.
This was announced by Vitalii Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Sunflower oil accounted for the largest share - 21%. Almost 6 million tonnes of it were exported for USD 5.1 billion.
Corn accounts for the second place - 21%, with 29.6 million tonnes exported for USD 5 billion. Wheat takes the third place, with 15%, or 20.6 million tonnes worth USS 3.7 billion.
Among the other leaders are rapeseed - 7% (3.8 million tonnes worth USD 1.8 billion), soybeans - 5% (3.4 million tonnes worth USD 1.3 billion), cake and residues from the extraction of vegetable fats and oils - 4% (4.7 million tonnes worth USD 1 billion).
The share of meat and edible poultry products was 4%. These products were exported in the amount of 447 thousand tonnes for USS 958 million. Barley (3.3 million tonnes worth USD 557 million) and sugar (746 thousand tonnes worth USD 418 million) also accounted for 2% each.
