Since the beginning of the year, 6,100 enterprises have received UAH 23.2 billion under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 state programme. In total, 7,800 Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have received over UAH 39 billion in bank loans for farm development this year.

In particular, the largest volume of loans under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme was received by farmers in the following regions:

• Kirovohrad region – UAH 2.6 billion (871 farms);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 2.5 billion (780 farms);
• Odesa region – UAH 2.29 billion (588 farms);
• Kyiv region – UAH 2.28 billion (506 farms).

Farmers in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region – UAH 7.76 billion (605 farms);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 4.15 billion (921 farms);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 3.3 billion (510 farms);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 3 billion (1,014 farms);
• Odesa region – UAH 2.8 billion (696 farms).

Background

The Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme simplifies access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and type of business.
