Tetyana Berezhna discusses cooperation in humanitarian policy and culture with the leadership of Latvia and Estonia

Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna, as part of the Ukrainian government delegation led by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, paid working visits to the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Estonia.

During the visits, meetings were held with President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, Prime Minister of Latvia Andris Kulbergs, Speaker of the Saeima Daiga Mieriņa, President of Estonia Alar Karis, Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, as well as representatives of the governments of both countries.

The parties discussed security issues, Ukraine’s recovery, and European integration. Particular attention was given to humanitarian policy priorities, support for Ukrainian culture, protection of cultural heritage, and the safeguarding of children’s rights. Latvia and Estonia remain active participants in the international coalition Bring Kids Back UA and continue to support Ukraine’s initiatives in this area.

The issue of preventing the participation of the aggressor state in international cultural and sporting events was also raised, along with the importance of maintaining a unified position of the international community regarding russia.

“Latvia and Estonia are reliable partners of Ukraine. We highly value their consistent support, solidarity with the Ukrainian people, and their readiness to further develop cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. The unity of our partners is an essential component of Ukraine’s resilience and future recovery”, said Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna.
