Thermal power plants, condominiums and other heat producers will pay for the gas at a fixed price, says Prime Minister

In preparation for the heating season, the Government has decided that TPPs, condominiums and other heat producers will receive gas at a fixed price. by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this statement during a Government session on June 3.

"The price will be fixed at UAH 7,400 per thousand cubic meters. This will allow local authorities not to raise tariffs for people, "said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister noted that the state is interested in bringing Ukrainians home. To do this, it is necessary to provide appropriate conditions.

"Since the beginning of hostilities, our energy has returned light to more than 4.5 million Ukrainians. 85% of families in the occupied territories are provided with the electricity.The whole Kyiv region is provided with the gas. Repair work is underway on Chernihiv Vodokanal - three of the five water pumping stations. The Government has allocated UAH 150 million to solve this problem as soon as possible," the Head of Government stressed.

The Prime Minister noted that water supply and sewerage in Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel and Vorzel have already been restored. Repair of boiler houses has started. According to the PM, if there are problems with heating or severely damaged TPPs, ministers go to the the regions.

"In all regions, commissions work every day to assess damage. In four, 35,000 damaged or destroyed objects have been recorded so far. Almost 75% of these 35,000 are located in Kyiv region. It is now difficult to make an assessment of Kharkiv, Mykolayiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as active fighting and constant shelling do not stop there, "said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister also instructed the relevant ministries and local authorities to prepare plans for the heating season in the occupied cities and towns within a month.
