POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
For the current day, imports from Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Moldova are forecasted with a maximum capacity of 1,539 MW in some hours.
Today, hourly outage schedules will be in effect from 0:00 to 24:00. If the situation changes, the information will be updated.
The heatwave continues in Ukraine, so electricity consumption may increase, in particular due to the active use of air conditioners. We urge everyone to consume electricity sparingly. This enables power engineers to keep the grid more stable.
There will be no power cuts for critical infrastructure companies and companies that import 80% of their electricity in accordance with a government decree.
The main reason for the restrictions is the enemy’s attacks on the energy infrastructure and the negative consequences of these attacks.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING
In the western region, an interstate high-voltage overhead line was disconnected during the air raid. An inspection revealed signs of overlap as a result of rocket fire.
In Kyiv, energy facilities were damaged by rocket fire. A total of 13 residential buildings, 6 institutions and the Okhmatdyt hospital were cut off from power due to the shelling. Consumers have been partially supplied with electricity.
An overhead cable line was disconnected in Donetsk region due to hostilities. As a result, household consumers and the high-voltage substation’s own needs were cut off.
STATE OF THE GRID
A high-voltage overhead line was disconnected in Kyiv region. It has been brought back online. The reason for the outage was damage to the section that runs through belarus (after 24.02.2022, Ukrainian power engineers have no access to its maintenance).
In Odesa region, equipment at one of the high-voltage substations was switched off due to technological failures, which led to a blackout of the local infrastructure (sewage treatment plants). All consumers were supplied with electricity.
In Zakarpattia region, high-voltage overhead lines of a regional power company were disconnected for technological reasons.
EMERGENCIES
In Donetsk region, a mine was hit by shelling and lost power. There were 13 workers underground. All of them were brought to the surface. No one was injured.
POWER OUTAGES
As of this morning, 14 settlements in Donetsk region remain without power supply as a result of the weather. A total of 475 settlements are without power due to hostilities and technical failures.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.00 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 29,238 MWh. No exports are planned and are not expected.
