    Shelling damaged a TPP in Donetsk region and gas infrastructure

    Consequences of the shelling

    Enemy shelling damaged equipment at a thermal power plant in Donetsk region. There were no casualties. The consequences are being assessed and the damage is being repaired.

    Equipment of gas distribution networks was damaged in Dnipropetrovsk region. The extent of the damage is being investigated. There were no customer outages.

    Power generation

    Power generating facilities are operating normally. The coal and fuel oil stocks are sufficient for the uninterrupted operation of the plants. The volume of electricity generated is sufficient to fully meet the needs of consumers and industry.

    Three generating units are undergoing short-term repairs.

    Situation in the frontline regions

    In Donetsk region, almost 14,000 customers lost power last night as a result of hostilities.

    In Sumy region, 2,640 customers were cut off from power. Of these, 2,380 consumers were cut off as a result of hostilities. In Chernihiv region, 688 customers were disconnected as a result of hostilities. Power grids in Kharkiv region were damaged by shelling. Work is underway to restore power supply in all regions. In total, over 13,000 customers have been reconnected over the past day.

    Some consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions remain without power.

    Situation at the ZNPP

    The water level in the nuclear power plant’s cooling pond remains at 15.67 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

    Export/import

    Commercial imports of electricity from Slovakia and Romania totalled 745 MWh over the past day. Exports to Slovakia, Moldova and Romania totalled 2,591 MWh.
