The Ukrainian power system received surplus electricity from Poland, and electricity exports to three countries are planned for the current day
Power generation and consumption
At night, at the request of the Polish transmission system operator, Ukraine received surplus electricity (from 00:00 to 6:00, with a total supply of 1,200 MWh).
Two units and two blocks of TPPs were taken out of service for emergency repairs. There are 6 units of thermal power plants in reserve that will be used if necessary.
Consequences of shelling
The massive missile attack did not cause any critical disruptions to the power system. However, power lines in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv were damaged. Household consumers, including healthcare facilities, are without power.
As a result of the shelling over the past day, a 330 kV substation of NPC Ukrenergo in Kupiansk district (Kharkiv region) was de-energised and equipment was damaged.
Import/export
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 3,804 MWh, and exports are also expected to reach 1,021 MWh to Romania, Slovakia and Moldova.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.59 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
