  • Situation in the power system as of 7 June
Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 07 June 2024 10:45

Due to the lack of generation after the russian attacks, restrictions are imposed on consumers; due to bad weather, customers in Sumy and Chernihiv regions are without electricity supply.

    GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

Due to an increase in electricity consumption and a shortage in the power system following massive russian attacks, emergency power outages were applied yesterday, in addition to hourly blackouts.

During the daytime, Ukraine received surplus electricity from Poland's power system at the request of the Polish side.

Today, restrictions on household and industrial consumers are in place throughout Ukraine.

    CONSEQUENCES OF THE BAD WEATHER

Power engineers have supplied power to most (about 100) settlements that were cut off due to the weather. 13 settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy regions remain disconnected, affecting a total of about 1,400 customers.

    SITUATION AT ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond is 15.20 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant's needs.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 26,947 MWh. No exports are expected.
