Renewable energy generation was limited yesterday; at the request of Poland, Ukraine received and transferred surplus electricity to the neighbouring country’s power system
POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Due to network constraints on the transmission system operator’s lines, blackout schedules were applied yesterday in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih. Restrictions in these regions are still in effect today. In other regions, consumers were not restricted yesterday.
Due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, the increased generation of electricity by SPPs, the transmission system operator limited the generation of electricity from renewable sources in morning hours to a total of 2,278 MWh.
At the same time, in the afternoon, at the request of Poland, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to the neighbouring country’s power system by accepting surplus electricity in the total amount of 600 MWh. At the same time, after the peak hours, Ukraine, at the request of Poland, provided emergency assistance to the Polish power system in the total amount of 600 MWh.
No emergency assistance was provided from neighbouring countries at the request of the Ukrainian transmission system operator yesterday.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
The enemy attacked a power facility in the east of the country. Equipment was damaged and an overhead line was disconnected. In Donetsk region, yesterday afternoon, a substation and the household consumers connected to it were cut off due to the disconnection of one of the overhead lines of a regional power company.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.40 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 9,816 MWh. A small amount of electricity is also planned to be exported to Moldova in the afternoon – 100 MWh.
