No electricity shortage, a coal mine de-energised due to shelling
Power generation and consumption
There is no electricity deficit and it is not expected for the current day. The electricity generated in Ukraine is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Commercial electricity imports are also planned. If necessary, internal reserve capacities will be used.
One unit and one building of TPPs have been put under short-term emergency repairs.
The situation is under control. No outage schedules are applied.
Consequences of shelling
A coal mine and a nearby town in Donetsk region came under further shelling. The mine is de-energised and workers are being brought to the surface.
The shelling in Chernihiv region also damaged 10 kV overhead lines and cut power to 20 settlements.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond remains stable at 15.64 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
Import/export
Electricity imports totalled 17,756 MWh. There were no exports.
