Power lines damaged by falling debris in Kirovohrad region, consumers in 9 regions left without electricity due to shelling and technological disruptions
CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING
In Kirovohrad region, a power line was damaged by falling debris as a result of shelling, and consumers lost power. Restoration works are underway.
A further inspection of the damage caused by missile and bomb attacks on energy facilities in Donetsk region the day before is underway.
STATE OF THE GRIDS
Yesterday, a 330 kV substation of the transmission system operator in Chernihiv region was disconnected for protective reasons. This left 2,600 consumers without electricity. All customers have now been reconnected.
POWER GENERATION
The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.
SITUATION IN THE REGIONS
As a result of technological disruptions, 3,400 consumers in Kyiv region and more than 1,000 consumers in Zaporizhzhia region were temporarily cut off from electricity supply yesterday. All of them have now been reconnected.
In addition, 14 settlements in Chernihiv region remain without electricity due to technical disruptions.
SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE REGIONS
21 settlements in Donetsk region and 3 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk region lost power due to shelling. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power.
Repair crews are working where the security situation allows. In total, over 16,000 consumers have been reconnected over the past day. Most of them are customers in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA HPP DAM BLOW-UP
In Kherson, 330 grid access points that were de-energised after the flooding were reconnected yesterday. 1,200 consumers are still without power. Power engineers are working to restore the power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.
SITUATION AT THE ZNPP
There is a slight decrease in the water level in the cooling pond. It is currently at 15.69 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
EXPORTS/IMPORTS
Commercial electricity imports totalled 78 MWh over the past day. Exports to Slovakia and Moldova totalled 2,702 MWh.
