As a result of hostilities, ZNPP was left with one power supply line; there is no electricity shortage
Power generation and consumption
There is no deficit in the power system. Domestic generation is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers, and commercial imports and exports of electricity are planned.
There are 7 thermal power units in reserve to be used if necessary.
The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No blackout schedules are applied.
Consequences of shelling
As a result of hostilities yesterday, a 330 kV high-voltage power line in Zaporizhzhia region was de-energised. As a result, Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was left with only one power supply line. Hostilities continue in the area.
The shelling damaged an overhead line in Chernihiv region, which cut off power to about 200 consumers in two settlements.
Emergencies
In Lviv region, an inspection revealed deliberate damage to an Ukrtransnafta oil pipeline – a branch pipe was welded to the pipe.
State of the grid
A substation in Mykolaiv region went offline for technical reasons, which cut off power to household consumers and the administrative building of the Mykolaiv Grid Service Centre. All consumers were reconnected within half an hour.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond remains stable at 15.59 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
Import/export
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 1,400 MWh. Exports of up to 3,000 MWh are also planned.
