Due to shelling, adverse weather conditions and technological disruptions, consumers in 9 regions suffer power outages
POWER GENERATION
The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.
Power engineers continue to prepare the power system for the heating season, which will take place in the face of russian attacks. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.
SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE REGIONS
The occupiers continue to terrorise the frontline and border areas with russia. The shelling caused power outages in 4 settlements in Donetsk region and 2 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk region. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power.
Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.
In total, power companies have reconnected 16,500 consumers over the past day. Most of them are customers in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
SITUATION IN THE REGIONS
As a result of technological disruptions, some consumers in Zaporizhzhia and Odesa regions were cut off. Due to adverse weather conditions, some consumers in Kyiv region suffer power outages.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
An apartment block in Zaporizhzhia that was cut off as a result of a recent rocket attack has been reconnected. The power has been restored to all customers.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA HPP DAM BLOW-UP
In Kherson, 22 grid access points that were de-energised after the flooding were reconnected yesterday. 1,500 customers are still without power. Power engineers are working to restore the power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.
SITUATION AT THE ZNPP
The water level in the ZNPP cooling pond remains stable at 15.71 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
EXPORT/IMPORT
Commercial electricity imports totalled 522 MWh over the past day. Exports to Slovakia totalled 1,000 MWh.
