Despite the damage to power generation facilities, the power system is operating stably and without deficit

Power generation and consumption

There is no deficit in the power system of Ukraine. Domestic generation is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers, and imports and exports of electricity are also planned.

Three units of thermal generating equipment are under repair. There are 11 units of generating equipment in reserve, which will be put into operation if necessary.

The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No outage schedules are applied.

Consequences of shelling

At night, the enemy shelled a thermal power plant in Dnipropetrovsk region: units were shut down and a fire broke out on the territory. The fire was extinguished, and the extent of the damage is being assessed.

A thermal power plant in Donetsk region also came under fire, causing damage to equipment. There were no power cuts or injuries.

As a result of a missile strike, debris fell on the territory of one of the mines, damaging equipment, and no one was injured.

State of the grid

An overhead power line in the Dnipropetrovsk region was disconnected due to a technological failure, which resulted in a power outage for household consumers, who were quickly reconnected.

Situation at the ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond remains stable at 15.59 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.

Import/export

For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 2,491 MWh. It is also planned to export up to 2,314 MWh to Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova.
