Situation in the power system as of 7 April: power engineers have switched on the backup power supply line of ZNPP; 410,000 customers in Kharkiv region were cut off due to grid restrictions.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Yesterday, due to grid restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, outage schedules were applied in Kharkiv region. Today, the restrictions prolong: in the morning, outage schedules are in effect in the Kharkiv region, and 410,000 customers are without power.
There is no shortage of electricity in the integrated power system of Ukraine. Yesterday afternoon, due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, active power generation by SPPs (Solar Power Plants), the transmission system operator limited the production of electricity from renewable sources to a total of 855 MWh. Ukraine's power system is operating in a stable and balanced manner.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
A nighttime enemy attack damaged the equipment of a high-voltage substation in Kharkiv region. A fire broke out, and the State Emergency Service was called in to extinguish it. A high-voltage overhead line was switched off in an emergency and was brought back online. Schedules of emergency power outages were used to prevent the emergency.
The shelling in Kharkiv region also resulted in the disconnection of a high-voltage power line, which cut off power to a substation and household consumers.
In Sumy region, a substation was de-energised during the shelling, and household consumers were cut off (all of them were soon connected to the grid under a backup scheme).
Yesterday, one of the high-voltage overhead lines in Donetsk region was disconnected. The output of the power generating company connected to it was briefly reduced. The cause of the outage is being investigated.
This morning, high-voltage overhead lines were disconnected in Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions. Both lines are back in operation.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
Yesterday, power engineers repaired and reconnected the 330 kV Zaporizhzhia TPP-Ferrosplavna overhead line, which is a backup power source for the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. It was damaged during the enemy shelling on 4 April. Currently, the plant is powered by both overhead lines - the main 750 kV Zaporizhzhia NPP-Dniprovsk and the backup 330 kV Zaporizhzhia TPP-Ferosplavna.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 1179 MWh. Small volumes of electricity are also expected to be exported - 115 MWh.
