No electricity shortage, enemy shells power substation in Dnipropetrovsk region
Power generation and consumption
There is no deficit in the power system of Ukraine. Domestic generation and commercial imports cover the needs of consumers.
After a short-term emergency repair, a thermal power plant building was put on standby, with a total of five thermal power plant units in reserve to be used if necessary. The system is balanced.
The situation is under control. No blackout schedules are applied.
Consequences of shelling
Enemy shelling damaged equipment and caused a fire at a substation of NPC Ukrenergo in Dnipropetrovsk region. A local enterprise was de-energised (the technological process was disrupted).
The shelling also damaged power grids in Semenivka community in Chernihiv region, leaving more than 800 consumers in six settlements without electricity.
The hostilities in Kostiantynivka resulted in a power outage at the distribution system operator’s equipment, a substation and household consumers being cut off.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.60 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
Import/export
For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 4,743 MWh. No exports are planned.
