    The situation in the power system as of 25 May: electricity consumption may be limited during evening peak hours; gas companies have restored gas supply to more than 4,400 customers in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

    GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

    Over the past day, the needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation, commercial imports and emergency assistance from the power systems of Romania and Poland.

    Schedules of hourly outages were also applied. They will be applied today from 20:00 to 22:00.

    CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING

    Yesterday, overhead power lines were disconnected in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, which resulted in power cuts to household consumers. Military operations are ongoing in the areas.

    Gas companies have repaired gas distribution networks damaged by shelling and restored gas supply to more than 4,200 customers in Kharkiv region and almost 200 customers in Donetsk region. However, 113 consumers in Donetsk region were left without gas supply due to new damage to gas pipelines as a result of the hostilities.

    STATE OF THE GRID

    A technological malfunction at a high-voltage substation in Sumy region caused equipment to shut down, resulting in a power cut to household consumers.

    In Poltava region, an overhead line of a regional power company was disconnected for technological reasons, which resulted in power outages at substations in Poltava and Kharkiv regions and household consumers connected to them. The power was restored within a short time.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

    For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 18,793 MWh. No exports are expected.
