Enemy attacked power facilities in Sumy region – more than 500,000 customers lost power

    POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

Yesterday, the needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation, commercial imports and emergency assistance from the power systems of neighbouring countries.

Also yesterday, during the daytime, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to Poland by receiving surplus electricity from the country’s power system.

Today, at night, at Ukraine’s request, emergency electricity supplies were already being made.

Also, stabilisation schedules for consumer outages were applied from 0:00 to 7:00. They will be applied from 18:00 to 24:00.

    CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING

At night, enemy drones attacked energy facilities in Sumy region. As a result, about 518,000 customers were cut off from power. In the morning, most of them were powered up. There were also disruptions in power supply to residential and industrial consumers in the neighbouring Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions. They have also been restored. Repair works are ongoing.

In Kharkiv region, the equipment of one of the high-voltage substations was switched off during the shelling. It is now back online. Two overhead lines of the regional power company were also disconnected as a result of the shelling. As a result, household consumers lost power. They have been reconnected.

    STATE OF THE GRID

In the western region, a high-voltage overhead line was out of service. It is back online and the cause of the outage is being investigated.

In Kharkiv region, three overhead lines of the regional power company were out of service for technical reasons. As a result, the equipment of a high-voltage substation and the power company’s substations lost power. Residential and industrial consumers and the railway were left without power supply (there were disruptions in train traffic). Consumers have been partially supplied with power and restoration works are underway.

    EMERGENCIES

This morning, one of the mines in Donetsk region lost power. There were 25 workers underground and they have been brought to the surface.

    SITUATION AT ZNPP

    IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 15,861 MWh. No exports are planned.
